Comment:

 Yes I did experience it. The taskbar icon was there but unusable and the
 task manager clocked pidgin.exe at 99% cpu. I'm going to keep searching
 through her hard drive to make sure there isn't a virus or something
 restricting access. Do you have any more suggestions?
