#5654: Japanese (perhaps other IME input languages) crashes pidgin when text box
overflows

Experiencing this bug under Ubuntu 8.04 with Pidgin 2.4.1. When inputting
with the input method editor pidgin breaks when the bounds of the text box
are exceeded. I have however discovered that this is only when you have
"Use document font from theme" checked, and un-checking this fixes the
problem. To see the bug in action, I have created a video:
http://kuroi.net/pidgin-ja-bug.ogg . I'd like to debug this myself, but I
do not have the time at the moment (sorry!). The bug may seem minor, but
if someone were to not know to un-check that box they may have an
unpleasant experience and give up on Pidgin or become frustrated. Perhaps
checking the compatibility of the font somehow, if possible, would be an
 easy solution.

This bug occurs even if I set LANGUAGE=ja_JP.utf8 or change my "document"
font to another japanese font. Un-checking the box does not disable
japanese or create any noticeable negative side effects other than having
 a slightly different font.
