Comment:

 I am a bit of a dull person, so yes, everything is standard, I didn't
 fiddle with it at all. And the funny thing is of course, that the vista
 version does support the font: as soon as I copy it to notepad, the actual
 text appears. So no themes, nothing exotic... I did set the keyboard
 setting so I can type Arabic (now all I need to do is learn to type
 Arabic, apart from ihn (hi) ...).
 But that aside, to summarise: no weird settings, Windows understands the
 fonts.
