 My plugin comment was that if someone needs the ability to pounce on
 'parts' of contacts then a plugin would be a better place to allow for
 that. It could either use the internal pounce system by creating one-per-
 buddy or it could use its own pounce system with its own pounce storage.

 I don't know the pounce code at all well, but it might be worth looking
 into whether the pounce struct/code could be modified to take/use a
 PurpleBlistNode instead of a string, this would allow for much easier
 handling of PurpleBuddy and PurpleContact based pouncing (though it would
 remove the ability to pounce on people not in the list, so if that is
 something that is needed it would need to be an either or proposition).
