 This bug ist still present in 2.4.1 and it annoyed me so much that I
 decided to fix it.

 After applying my patch the icon switches back to color correctly. It also
 fixes the colored icon if you open a new IM window for a buddy which is
 offline.

 Tested with ICQ and Jabber. It doesn't work with Bonjour, as it doesn't
 update the IM window on a status change at all. Is that a bug or a
 protocol limitation?
