 I believe what you are observing is a bug, which is related, but a
 separate issue from what this ticket is about. There are reports in this
 ticket describing the text entry area being one line or less, and that's a
 bug (and acknowledged by the developers as such). I though it had been
 fixed. If you're still seeing it in the latest release, I'd recommend
 searching for a relevant ticket or opening a new ticket if necessary (and
 post a link to it here).
