#6575: Logging issues when PURPLEHOME is set to a network directory

To keep my files organized, I save everything to one folder on my primary
computer, with other systems using environment variables to save and load
to an alternate location. As I'm not using the program on more than one
computer at any time, this isn't a problem. However, if that network
connection is lost (such as due to a power surge that briefly knocks the
router offline or a laptop unexpectedly going into hibernation), any
further attempts to write files are silently discarded. This results in
any logged conversations or changes to the buddy list being lost.

Is there some way Pidgin cache those lost writes and then, upon
reconnecting to the remote folder, save everything? This way, in the event
of a glitch, no file information is lost.
