 I am on win xp, prof using pidgin 2.5.0.

 For some reason, when I get a new IM, I don't hear any sounds.

 I did turn on "preferences/sounds/Message received" and
 "preferences/sounds/Message received begins conversation".

 I played with "Sounds when conversation has focus", but that didn't seemed
 to help either way. (Oh, when I get a new IM, I used Tweak UI, so pidgin
 will not steal focus.)

 I tried "Only when available" and "Always" for "Eanbled sounds". That
 didn't seemed to matter either way.

 I have set a .wav file at the bottom of the "preferences/sounds", and
 "preview" will play the sound fine.

 Please help. Thanks!
