 Typing in the buddy list to find a user stops at the first character and
 locks up pidgin until the search dialog goes away. Does not seem to do
 this in linux, but only on the Win32 Platform. Has been doing this for
 many revisions.

 I have removed all older versions and GTK and installed clean. Still
 having the same problem.
