 You cannot minimize conversation windows to the tray, but you also do not
 need to in general. Disabling the 'Close IMs immediately' preference will
 keep conversations 'alive' for a short while after the window closes and
 enabling the 'History' plugin will present the most recent history when a
 new conversation is started. The only other 'feature' of hiding
 conversation windows to the tray (that I'm aware of) is the ability to
 keep the existing tab order unchanged, which isn't generally a big deal,
 and if it is then the window can just be left open.
