{{{
It seems you have 'messenger[at]microsoft.com' in the Block list of your
Address Book, which it doesn't like adding to the Contact List. I'm not
sure what those mean. Perhaps they're for "Block message from contacts not
on my list"?
}}}
Before 2.5.0 I recieved sometimes messages from people who are not in my
buddly list. So they have not beeing blocked. I haven't recieved a message
from someone who is not on my list since I am using 2.5.0. But that
probably doesn't mean anything.
But it seams as the error message has something to do with connecting to
msn. Because when I deactivate my msn account the error message doesn't
appear. And when I activate my msn account and switch my status from
"offline" to "available" ("verfügbar") and even if I switch between
"offline" and "available" several times, I can reproduce the error message
as often as I switch to "available" again.
{{{
I have the same problem, Vista x64 SP1, pidgin 2.5.0 , language german. i
found a workaround for me: if i set "use http" for the msn server i still
get the error message but connecting succeeds, if "use http" is not set,
error message appears and connecting to msn does not succeed
}}}
The connection succeeds on my computer with and without checking the
checkbox "use http".
