 I'm not sure when this first appeared, but I decided to upgrade my GTK to
 the version bundled with Pidgin, and the functionality that allows you to
 start typing a word in a list box (I don't know what the GTK ui element is
 actually called...the one that's used in the Buddy List and in GTK file
 dialogs) and have the closest match be selected only allows you to type
 the first letter. This is unbelievably irritating. I've seen this happen
 in the past, with Pidgin-bundled GTKs, but fortunately I remembered what
 version I had installed prior and managed to revert. Unfortunately this
 wasn't the case this time. If the Pidgin team could take the care to
 actually TEST the builds of GTK they bundle with their application that
 would be excellent. at the very least if someone could point me to a .exe
 installer for a version they know to be working, that would be great.
