 ok, here i am.[[BR]]
 i did a little testing.[[BR]]
 i think it's something related to the number of entries in your
 buddylist.[[BR]]
 an account with 0 entries (just created) gives perhaps an error (see
 attachment 20080823 no-buddies.log, i paused the log before it got
 connected, which happened a few mins later) but it gets connected in a few
 mins.[[BR]]
 an account with about 160 entries took 6 mins (with all my wonderful
 56kbps dedicated to pidgin).[[BR]]
 so i think there must be a difference in how MSNP15 gets data from the
 server.
 hope this helps, even if i'm not sure there's a solution (don't think you
 can compress xml data and uncompress it on the fly feeding them to
 pidgin).
