 In Yahoo Messenger, when I don't want a buddy to know that I'm online, I
 can set to appear pemanently offline. Pidgin got that too. The thing is in
 YM, the name of that buddy will appear italic so that I can see clearly
 who I'm invisible to. There is no such thing in Pidgin. Would love if that
 feature is implemented !!!
