 What do you mean 'manage their rosters'? pidgin supports roster management
 already.

 pidgin stores the roster in the blist.xml file (with the rosters of all
 the other accounts).

 Moving XMPP rosters around is not as simple as adding the buddies to the
 new account, it also requires reacquiring authentication from each buddy,
 so a simple backup is not enough to have a functioning buddy list.

 That being said the [http://plugins.guifications.org/trac/wiki/listhandler
 List Handler] plugin exists to handle some of the roster backing up needs.
