 The correct way to change the accelerator is to follow the directions
 [http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/Using%20Pidgin#HowdoIbindkeystrokestomenuitems
 here]. The reason your manual edit didn't work is that you left the
 comment marker ';' on the line, which told GTK+ it didn't need to care
 about it.
