 I remember in previous versions, if someone was actually offline,
 attempting to send an IM to them would give an error saying the user was
 online, but sending to an invisible user would work.

 I'd like to have an "allow sending IMs to offline users" option that could
 be turned on or off.  I don't want to be able to send an IM to a user
 that's actually offline, as several people on my list function as
 invisible and I want to determine whether or not they're actually online.
