 1. Install Openfire (rpm)/Jabber (any version)
 2. Install Pidgin IM (any version) and Kopete any version
 3. Set jabber server to run secure (5223 port or other)
 3. Run Jabber server
 4. Run Pidgin
 5. Add new account
 6. Click Create New Account
 7. Enter login ID
 8. Login fqdn of server
 9. Click advanced
 10. Click Require TLS/SSL
 11. Click Old SSL Port
 12. Update Connect Port to 5223
 13. Click "Save"
 14. Receive warning about certificate
 15. Accept warning
 16. Pidgin states connecting. Kill Pidgin
 17. Fire up Kopete
 18. Configure
 19. Add account
 20. Choose "Registration"
 21. Fill in loginid at fqdn
 22. Enter password twice
 23. Update port if needed
 24. Click "Require SSL" option
 25. Create account
 26. Warning message about certificate.
 27. Registration succeeds.
 28. Complete account creation and save.
 29. Kopete connects successfully.
