 I get the message:

 abc.xyz @ shawgrp . com on the local list is inside the group "Buddies"
 but not on the server list.  Do you want this buddy to be added? (Yes/No)

 Typically I say "Yes"
 But this time I said "No", and it deleted the users (and the error went
 away).

 I re-added the user, and the error message came back.

 Note,
 MSN seems to be working with ordinary MSN accounts (Hotmail/messengeruser)
 accounts.

 However, the error seems to come up with Non-MSN accounts (Microsoft
 Communicator Accounts).  I suppose there is also a period (.) in the user
 name of the account that has problems.

 Worked with previous versions of Pidgin.  Error showed up when upgraded to
 version 2.5.2
