 The vast majority of your example programs either do little more than to
 show the status of some program (category A in my previous post), or
 provide inferior UI. None of those programs are an instant messenger. Take
 a look at [http://www.google.com/talk/ Google Talk] - '''one''' click to
 open & close the buddy list!

 The context menu is activated via the RIGHT button. That's standard.
