 The correct fix is to not let the preference, which is clearly for IMs,
 affect persistent chats at all.

 Two nitpicks about the patch itself: It should check for non-NULL return
 value from {{{purple_blist_find_chat}}}, and variable declarations should
 be at the beginning of a block.
