 Hi Deryni,

    I think I explained myself wrong. Disabling the sound doesn't fix the
 inability to open hyperlinks, and doesn't fix the huge number of instances
 that get spawned.

    Disabling the nautilus plugin has fixed the problem for me in the past.
 The reason why I have not been able to get a back-trace or narrow the
 problem down further is that it seems to only happen after several hours
 of heavy continuous use.

     I'll post more information when I can.
