 Hi, I don't know if this is the exact same issue but I thought it was
 close enough that I'd rather not risk opening a duplicate. My Pidgin is
 hanging on "Connecting" whenever I try to connect to Yahoo, manual or
 auto. Installing the latest version didn't change anything. I don't know
 how to make a backtrace but am happy to help with guidance. I'm running
 Vista 64 - please don't hate me for that. I hate it too but have no
 choice.
