 Yes, gstreamer when configured to use pulseaudio seems to have a thread
 leak problem. I don't know of a Gnome/Gstreamer/PulseAudio bug about this
 (though they might exist), the only other bug I know of is
 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=470000 . Regardless, if that
 is the problem here then there isn't anything we can do about it other
 than suggest that you configure gstreamer not to use pulseaudio or
 configure pidgin not to use gstreamer.
