#7743: Pidgin becomes unresponsive when sound is terminated with pulseaudio

 If a sound is being played by pidgin (say, from a new message), and that
 sound stream is terminated by pulseaudio, pidgin becomes completely
 unresponsive.

 Sound in Pidgin is set to "automatic".

 I am using version 2.5.2 on Ubuntu 8.10 which has the pulseaudio library
 version 0.9.10.
