 This ticket is waiting on the developers who knows AIM best to look at it,
 he apparently hasn't had time to do that yet. I'm not sure if the debug
 log above is going to contain enough information to be useful here so if
 you are able it might make sense to try to use wireshark to capture the
 actual network traffic for a buddy status change that pidgin ignores (and
 possibly a similar buddy status change that some other client handles
 correctly).
