 When I enable Instant Messaging functions (such as blocking file
 transfers) on my Fortigate 50B hardware firewall, both Pidgin (on Linux)
 and Adium crash after a few seconds. The problem exists when using the MSN
 network, but possibly also other protocols (not yet tested).

 As far as I know, Adium also uses the Purple library from Pidgin,
 therefore I expect a bug in the purple library.

 I could not reproduce this behaviour with the official MSN client running
 on a VMware Windows XP machine.

 As soon as I am on my linux box, I can provide more information if needed.
