New description:

Recently I experienced a blue screen that threw up a inline frame kernal
error. After the crash I had no other problems except for pidgin's MSN
connection. I currently use pidgin for aim, msn, yahoo, and icq. All the
other accounts connect fine except for msn with throws a Read Error.

To try and fix i completely uninstalled pidgin ( was running an older
version that I believe was 2.4.2. I also uninstalled the GTK package. As
well, i completely deleted the pidgin directory after the uninstall. Then
i did a complete install of 2.5.2. After the reinstall all my accounts
were still saved somehow ( probably in the registery? ) Most likely
because of this the reinstall did not work and MSN still has a read error.

I also tried to re-setup the credentials but this did not help as well (
re-typed the user name and pass). Finally, to try and fix i removed the
MSN account from my list of accounts in gaim. Then i tried to go back and
add it but get an error that the specified account information already
exist. Now, i cannot even add back in my MSN account on this computer. I
have several other computers with pidgin installed and do not obvioulsy
have this problem on those computers. ( I believe. i do not have a
computer to test as I write this ( at work ) but do believe i had no
problems when i checked this weekend)

I searched my registry for the login name I use on msn and for pidgin and
do not see any registry entries for things that looked to have the login
information, but had no luck. Also, i searched using windows search tool
to look inside every file on my computer and again, did not see the login
 name for my msn account.

can someone please tell me where the account information is held on my
computer so that I can manually remove this entry and try to add it back
 in.

If there is another fix for this please let me know as well.

If you require further information please let me know

( edit: nevermind, i found the file. A bit concerning that everything is
in plain text though ( ie passwords)
