 disable autologin) and get a debug log - if we can narrow this down to the
 affected protocol, it'll be easier to to figure out what is happening.

 I had someone try that in #pidgin yesterday; it was able to quit after
 he'd signed in to MSN, but when he tried it with his AIM account, it hung.
