 Same problem as above, I run Pidgin and I get a vc++ error. Just before I
 started getting the error I installed the office 2007 reader for office
 03. That is the only thing I ran between working pidgin and non working
 pidgin. No sure if it is connected.

 I am running xp pro 32 bit os.
