 Verified to happen with Skype (Enabled by itself) and MyspaceIM (Enabled
 by itself).

 Workaround: AOL (Enabled by itself) allows you to delete groups left over
 by the above IMs (which is prefered), but if they STILL won't, they can be
 renamed/merged into one "2-b deleted" group.

 Other possible solution(s):
 A. checkbox in preferences:
          [ ] Ignore IM Service controlled groupings
 B. utility (could be third party) to save/edit groups
