Comment:

 This appears to be crashing inside of gstreamer, if you disable sounds in
 pidgin it will probably stop. This sounds to me like it might be the
 gstreamer+pulseaudio thread leak/crash tracked for Fedora
 [[https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=470000 here]] and somewhere
 I can't find at the moment for Ubuntu.
