 When I try to start Pidgin, I get the following message:

 Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
 Program: C:\program files\pidgin\pidgin.exe

 The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
 way.  Please contact the application's support team for more information.

 I downloaded and ran the patch file with unsatisfactory results.
