 hi everyone, sorry for the late reply. i'm running 64bit gentoo.
 recompiled pidgin with the debug useflag, disabled all accounts to isolate
 only the qq problem, started pidgin with the environment set as lonicerae
 suggested, enabled the qq account. the log and backtrace are attached -
 seems that pidgin segfaults on QQ server's error message.
