New description:

 I know little about GTK, or GUI programming in general for that matter,
 but yeah...

 It seems whenever I try to close Pidgin (at least on my windows machine),
 the main window stays & halts long after the at least tray icon goes.
 This started happening with 2.5.3.  I've always manually killed it after
 the first 15 seconds.

 If it makes any difference, protocols I use are:  AIM, MSN, YIM,
 MyspaceIM, & IRC.
