#7939: MSN: Authorize Buddy? Person wants to add you to their buddy list

I just installed Pidgin 2.5.3 on my computer for the first time and I'm
getting a pretty annoying message each time I start Pidgin. I have no
plugins or themes installed... it's a fresh install on a system which has
never had any version of Pidgin. The message reads as follows:

Authorize User? xxxxxxx at yahoo.com wants to add me at hotmail.com to his or
 her buddy list.
 [Deny] [Approve]

Whether I click deny or approve the message returns the next time I start
 Pidgin.

I have narrowed the issue down to the MSN protocol by turning off only the
MSN protocol under Accounts -> MSN -> Disable. When I turn it back on,
the message comes back. The message doesn't return for the other three
protocols I'm using (MSN, AIM, Yahoo, Google).

I have logged into the Hotmail web interface and tried to find her in my
mail contacts and messaging contacts, but she doesn't exist in either one.
Adding her and removing her doesn't help.

I have tried stopping the MSN protocol in Pidgin and starting the normal
MSN Messenger client so I could cancel it here, but the message doesn't
 appear in the MSN client.

This message is especially annoying because it's for a crazy ex girlfriend
from a year and a half ago. Can anybody help me get rid of this? I
appreciate any help anybody can offer! Also, I'm willing to give my
contact info on any of these protocols if you want to troubleshoot in
 real-time.

 Thanks!

 Adam
