 Hi,
 back again trying to look further into the Pidgin/Plugins folder where the
 DLL files resides as I mentioned in my initial post in this ticket...

 Just from what I saw in the RPT debug files the msnlib.dll seems to be
 part of the problem that the start up crashes, so I decided to download
 Pidgin 2.5.2 ZIP and copy msnlib.dll from that one and replace the 2.5.3
 mnslib.dll, by doing this Pidgin does not crash at start-up, but Pidgin
 hangs when I try to close Pidgin and the process resource goes up to 99%
 and stays there so I have to kill that process to stop it.
