 All,

 All of a sudden nothing works on pidgin.  Not join, not auto-join,
 nothing, but text.

 Having to use command line code to do everything.

 This is effecting 5 different machines with:

 1. Ubuntu Desktop,
 2. XP Pro Laptop,
 3. W2K Laptop,
 4. W2K Desktop,
 5. XP Pro Desktop.

 What went wrong with the source?

 I downloaded and re-installed the last patch and nothing changes.
