 There should be an option to use default protocol smileys.

 Even though I like the pidgin theme very much, all smiley themes always
 give the same smileys a little different mood.
 In communication you very much want to know which signals you send, so
 until pidgin actually sends and recives the smileys as bitmaps, there
 should at least be an option to use the default protocol smileys. Then you
 can only hope whom every you talk to is doing the same.
