New description:

 Rather than shelling out to random binaries installed on the system, we
 should just use [http://people.freebsd.org/~kientzle/libarchive/
 libarchive] to extract `.tgz` and `.zip` files.

 It doesn't build on Windows apparently right now, though.

 (Apparently we don't support icon themes in zip files on Lunix?  We
 should.)
