Comment:

 There are no viruses in Pidgin or GTK+.  Your antivirus has a nasty habit
 of flagging any application that uses an NSIS installer with download
 capabilities (which Pidgin's installer uses to download and install spell
 checking capabilities) as a virus simply because a couple viruses have in
 the past used this mechanism.  Go complain to your antivirus vendor.
