 I'm not so sure that this'll resolve all potential confusion.

 The way that this setting works is that "available" is an attribute of a
 status, it doesn't just refer to the status called "Available".  For
 example, the "Chatty" XMPP status and the "Free For Chat" AIM status are
 also available statuses.
