Comment:

 Gaim did contain an uninstaller, I can't guess why it might not have
 worked when you upgraded to pidgin, it may have been a permissions issue.


 If you look in `C:\Program Files\Gaim` (or wherever Gaim was installed),
 you should see an uninstaller executable there.

 #1064 isn't at all related.
