 I do a lot of messaging in Japanese. I often that I have to bring up the
 context menu and change the input method from "default" to "windows IME".
 It's really annoying that I have to do this in pidgin, while just about
 every other bit of windows software works just fine with the IME without
 having to change settings.

 At the very least, make it save my choice...
