 I had the same problem this morning. I found out that a new Ultraedit
 version was the problem. That one changed the spellchecker. But even
 uninstalling/reinstalling pidgin did not help.[[BR]]
 When I deactivate the spellchecker (prefs.xml, spellcheck = '0') the
 startup is working again.[[BR]]
 The debug.log doesn't help, because the error is written only on console,
 but not into log. The error message is:

 Unhandled Error: The file "C:/Programme/UltraEdit-32/GNU/Aspell/dict/de-
 common.rws"
 is not in the proper format.
