 bernmeister: For some people it does work, I don't know what the
 differences are, there's no differences in configuration, it's a fresh
 reinstall. It has nothing to do with LDAP, since I tested it connecting to
 a controlled local box and it was not sending the password to the server
 at all.

 datallah: Is there a simple way to update pidgin to patch this problem, or
 would suggest I just wait until the next release?
