Current development code has the patch from #708 applied. I haven't
personally looked at that patch in detail. I'm betting this might be an
issue if I just blindly apply the patch?
 > yes, thatd be an issue -- but i could just diff from code having
patch#708 applied if thats the need.

That'd be great if you can. Our current development code is housed in
monotone. If you need any assistance with this beyond what is on the
UsingPidginMonotone wiki page, drop me an e-mail or IM me--I have contact
 info [http://guifications.org/trac/wiki/rekkanoryo here].

There are some additional benefits to developing your patch against
 current monotone, as well:
   * You won't need to keep a pristine copy of the source tree around for
diffing, as monotone can diff against its history
   * Monotone also provides the correct patch format by default without
having to specify diff options manually
   * You could commit your code to your local database on a private branch
 if you desired
     * This isn't necessary but is a nice side effect.
     * It does also offer us some additional abilities if you have a way to
run 'mtn serve' for short periods and allow the outside world to connect
 to it.
       * I can pull revisions directly from you to my own database and
 merge as appropriate.
       * You can pull from me for any changes I might want to make to your
 code.
