 +1 for this feature.

 I have 5-6 accounts set up in pidgin. It's convenient for pidgin to save
 all my passwords. If I were to lose my computer or suddenly left my job or
 whatever, the person who gets into my computer has all that information.

 With a master password, I would type a single password when I launch
 pidgin and the pidgin would connect to my IM accounts using stored
 passwords.
