 I'm also having problems with auto-join and xmpp-mucs. But I'm only
 experiencing problems when my internet connection breaks and I reconnect
 to the server later without closing Pidgin between the breakdown and the
 reconnect. Then, the chatroom window is still open, but I'm still
 appearing not to be in the channel (at least to myself). When I dubble-
 click the channel in my buddy-list, I am joined without any further
 problems.
