 This happens due to some wackiness in the "forward to SSL" code.

 There are two cookies - a per-session cookie and a 30-day cookie.  The
 per-session cookie is required to use the `Settings` and `My Account` (and
 also the `Admin` stuff), if you don't have that, it should be forwarding
 you to the login screen, but that doesn't always work.

 As a workaround, log out, log in and then you should be able to access
 those pages just fine.
